VISA FOR KENYA

A visa is required for entry by all visitors traveling to Kenya with the exception of those who fall under the following categories:

  • Holders of re-entry passes to Kenya;

  • Citizens of those countries with which Kenya has a reciprocal visa abolition Agreement; (Eritrea, Ethiopia, San Marino, Turkey and Uruguay).

  • The following countries with which Kenya had reciprocal visa abolition agreements have since revoked the agreements: GERMANY, ITALY, DENMARK, NORWAY, SWEDEN, FINLAND, SPAIN, and REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. Nationals of these countries should NOTE THAT KENYA has reciprocated by imposing VISAS on these countries.

  • Multiple Entry Visas are normally issued for a period of six months.

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS

  1. Valid passport with sufficient number of unused pages for endorsements abroad. Passport must be signed and valid for at least six months.

  2. Visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.

  3. Two recent passport size photographs attached to the application form.

  4. Valid round trip ticket or a letter from your travel agent certifying that the applicant holds prepaid arrangements.

  5. Be sure to include your home and work telephone numbers.

  6. An additional US$ 10.00 for rush or expedited service on documents

  7. One Business Letter on company letterhead giving details of the nature of visit, including the dates of stay, hotel information and addresses, organization to be visited and a financial guarantee from the company, signed by a senior manager.

REFERRED VISAS

 

Applications from nationals of the following countries will be referred to Nairobi for approval: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Cameroon, Libya, Mali, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, Stateless persons, Sudan, Tajikistan and North Yemen.

  1. Valid passport with sufficient number of unused pages for endorsements abroad. Passport must be signed and valid for at least six months.

  2. Visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.

  3. Travel itinerary from your Travel agency.

  4. Proof of immigration status in the U.S.A. e.g. Green Card or Form 1-94.

  5. Invitation letter from the host or organization to be visited in Kenya.

  6. Two recent passport size photographs attached to the application form.

  7. A recommendation letter from your employer or school if you are a student.

  8. A US$ 50.00 money order processing fee payable to Kenya Embassy.

  9. An additional non-refundable referral fee of U.S. $10.00.

  10. Application for referred Visas may need sometime. Apply three months prior to travel date.

  11. Be sure to include your home and work telephone numbers.

  2. One Visa Application Form for Kenya, completed in full. Incomplete documents will result in significant delays in the processing time.

  3. Fulfillment of all visa application requirements as mentioned above depending on the type of visa required.

  5. Visa application fee based on type of visa sought. (Visa fee is payable by money order made to the "Embassy of Kenya")

  6. 24 Hour rush processing available for additional $10.00

  8. We recommend that you send documents via track-able courier service such as, Priority Mail, Express Mail, FedEx, UPS, Airborne Express, or DHL. (Metered stamps are not acceptable.)
